here's the blurb...

"OVATION MAGNUM 1 CIRCA 1976 IN SUPERB CONDITION

An opportunity to own a really different bass, finished in blue with a custom pickguard, this gets comments wherever it has been! It’s REALLY solidly made with a very stiff feel to the neck, (which is sort of P-bass ish), rewired with quality components it is also reliable. So why not have something different to the usual Fenders etc.
The Magnum is a beautiful rare vintage solid body electric bass guitar made in the USA by Ovation. The Magnum I features a solid one piece mahogany body and a full 34” scale. The graphite reinforced neck is perfectly straight and plays beautifully. The action is comfortably low with no buzzing.

The Magnum is a very solidly made bass with glued and bolted neck attachment, Magnum neck pickup with individual volume adjustment for each string, Magnum bridge pickup with U-shaped pole pieces for greater sustain cleaner treble response, individually adjustable saddles, cast aluminum tailpiece, slotted for quick string replacement and calibrated for exact compensation, lever action mute in good order, Magnum electronics: 1 volume control, pickup selector switch, 2 tone controls. The Ovation Magnum was introduced around 1974 in the USA and ran until the early 1980’s, this example is still in excellent condition. It plays perfectly and has been kept in excellent condition with hardly a mark on it. All parts are in perfect working order.
Included in this sale is a Calton custom fitted hard case, which would cost about £250, these are fibreglass, virtually bulletproof and just about the best you can get, custom made to fit like a glove! check them out at www.caltoncases.co.uk"

Agree - echoes of the Breadwinner. One of the things I like most about Ovation is the headstock - it is kinda weird - but looks great.

Ha!

Awesome.

The bass player in my old band owned one. Absolute BOOMER on stage.
