THE RETURN OF THE AMP-IN-CASE SILVERTONE!!!

Has anyone caught this yet???!? I cannot express just how jazzed I am on this!!

In 2008, Dano will be re-issuing what they called the "1449" amp-in-case, without the amp-case, of course... but never the less... that twang, that STYLE!! I am so INSANELY jazzed!!

Now, a little nerdery... their "1449" isn't exactly an replica of the original 1449's... The headstock is the 3x3 "Coke-bottle" shape latter day Dano's have adopted, as opposed to the original oversized "slant" 6-in-line headstock. The pickguard is also incorrect for a 1449. Style-wise, the axe is closer to the 1457... the two-pickup axe with an oval-shaped cutout in the guard for the neck pickup. The 1449 was little more than a two-pickup version of the 1448.

The new axe is supposed to come with a brushed nickel hardware, to make it look aged. Meh, don't know how I feel about that... don't care, though... I've salvaged an electronics harness and pickup set from a smashed 1457 that I'll be popping straight in there...

So... whaddya think? Anyone else jazzed?
