Can anyone identify this guitar?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum so I hope this is the right place to post this...
Anyway! I found this guitar in a recycling center in the UK in Exmouth and got it for £5 (about $10). It looks old and it is not in the best condition but after putting on some new strings it sounds quite good and really loud. The strings that were on were nylon ones so I replaced them with new nylons but I dont know if this is supposed to be a steel string guitar or not. The construction/craftsmanship does not look great so I'm not really hoping it's a rare or good brand guitar, but I would just like to know something about it since i really like the way it looks! The only thing written on it is a serial number on the back of the headstock but it is not very readable in the photo (I dont have the guitar with me now as i am back home for holidays but if it would help i can take a closer look at the serial number when i get back and post it here.)

I haven't had the opportunity to do any serious research, but my first impression is that the guitar is German based on the stylized f holes. I will first check either Klira or Framus since both companies used a similar f hole in their guitars. sb

Thank you very much for the quick reply, I really appreciate it! I will try having a look at the two brands you mentioned even though from my first attempt there don't seem to be a whole lot of information about them floating about!

P.S. the photos were taken using a computer camera so they are actually inverted i.e. this appears to be a left hand guitar but it isn't, it is a right hand one. Hope this helps
