			lol It's a 'Glute'
That's a kind of slang used by some luthiers to describe a guitar with a lute body.
Whoever owned it before replaced the bridge, or modified it extensively and stuck it on upside down. The saddle is missing.
Glutes are gut/nylon/silk stringed and the bridge looks like if it handles ball end type classical strings. No earlier than 1965, probably a 1970's manufacture is my guess.
The Rose/Rosette is very unusual and not defined well, leading me to think that it was more of a folk art attempt. It's a Lyre with 3 strings by the way. Headstock is reminiscent of early violin. Close grained spruce top. 
Northern Italian maybe? Just a decorative instrument.
