The Dixon brand has been around for awhile but unfortunately my literature on this brand is pretty spotty.
I have some 1960's counter catalog pages where the guitars are simply identified by 2 or 3 digit numbers (e.g. No. 627)
I have some mid 1980's literature where the guitars are identified with the prefix RG followed by 3 digit numbers. These 80's guitars are being distributed by Reliance International Corp. of Taiwan so I presume the RG stands for "Reliance Guitar".
So, maybe we can rule out the 1960's and even the 1980's as years of production for your acoustic. Do you think it was made in the 1970's?
