Advice needed on Ovation Patriot

What's the going rate today, especially with the new patriotic wave in the country, for the Patriot? I bought mine for $900 in 1996 without the original 2 documents. The series card in the sound hole shows it is #1641. Its all acoustic, not electric. Hard body case. Very minor wear, excellent condition. It seems there are few being sold on the internet and sales are from two and four years ago.

I don't know what Patriots sell for musicgal, but I can tell you the Blue Book value for a Patriot in Excellent condition is listed between $800-$950. If you are looking to sell the guitar don't be surprised if someone suggests this value range as the start of a discussion.

I think the Patriot is essentially a Custom Legend with special graphics. According to the Blue Book only 1776 were produced. The Blue Book values the Patriot close to the same as other Custom Legend models. You might check to see what a 70s model Custom Legend sells for these days to get a better feel for market value. You can then decide how much you believe the special edition status of the Patriot adds to the value.
