Any info on Lyle?

i recently became interested in learning classical guitar. i found a lyle c-625 in decent shape for $65 so i bought it. i can not find any info in the c-625. i have found info on the c-610, c-620, and c-630 but nothing on the c-625. does anyone have any info?
also, since i'm a beginner it seems like i have to push down pretty hard on the strings to get them to make good contact with the fretboard. is this common?
i've read that flamenco guitars are better in this regard. is this correct?

also lyle was supposed to be the first company that was given the right to make copies of gibson . thats the ones apparently the most rare.
