Oldddd sada yairi but weird serial tag anyone know?

Got this old s yairi from my grandfather, I believe he got it in the 1930s. I know the history os yairi guitars, but what irks me is the serial number. Most yairis serial starts with yd and then followed by a number, but my serial is yi-100. If anyone could shed some light that would be awesome. I have this fantasy that my grandfather bought this guitar from sada himself when he lived in japan. That would be coo[/list]
