Unfortunately, a different story on the value of a 1951 000-18. The Blue Book suggests $4,000-$5,000 in Excellent condition and $2,500-$3,000 in Average condition. Still not a bad price for an inherited instrument.

Does this martin have a truss rod in the neck? I can't find anything inside or out. I looked down the bridge toward the neck and the low e side of the neck has a twist up. High e side looks fine but it definately has a twist to it. I don't officially own the guitar, so I can't do anything with it right now. I slacked off the strings and it is just sitting in it's case. I'm sortof wondering if they put medium strings on it and its supposed to have lights or less.
