Can anybody tell me what wood this guitar was made of and year of manufacture? Google searches have yielded no information. Thanks.

Hi pbj, I might be able to offer a little insight. In the mid 1960's Kent model numbers were simple like F-3 indicating their third model of Folk guitar. I read a description online where the owner said he bought his Kent 3306 in the early 1970's at a garage sale. So, although I don't have a positive year of manufacture I would guess late 1960's.

I don't know about the wood but if you show the guitar to someone at a local music store they might be able to ID it for you. It's most likely plywood so all you're really learning about is the wood used on the outer veneer.

cool, thank you very much! it was my dad's and he is no longer with us so it's very special to me so wanted to know more about it. the bridge is completely fucked up, might be some warping on the neck, and the action is the highest i've ever seen. it's in rough shape so i might take it to a luthier and get it checked out.

thanks again!
