Phenix Guitars?

Hi,

I brought two Phenix (not Phoenix) acoustic guitars in the early 1980s. They were made in Japan, but I can now find no information about the company. Does anyone know anything about the company or have an opinion about the guitars?

Hi phenix,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been looking for information on Phenix guitars but I have not found any information so far. There are a million different brand names used on Japanese acoustic guitars and the majority of them have never been documented in the vintage guitar literature.

I'll keep looking and post to this thread if I find anything. If you turn up something interesting, please post it here and let us know what you found.

Thanks Steve. So far the internet has failed to give me any clues, and several guitar encyclopedias have ignored the "Phenix". If I find anything, I post it.
