This guitar is in amazing playing condition and sounds incredible. In its 67 years it has definitly made some music and is still sounding incredible. The action is amazingly low and flush without string buzzing and the original pick ups sound beautiful.
This guitar would be priced substantially higher if it weren’t for a few cracks in the body (2 located on the top of the gutiar at the bottom of each « f » soundhole and 2 small splits at the back where the strap pin would be) there is also some laminate cracking that comes with any 67 year old guitar. If you are looking for a Gibson that has a pristine body, this is not the one for you BUT if you are looking for a classic Gibson that plays and sounds incredible and are not concerned with the perfect aesthetics – this is a great deal. I am certain that the cracks could be easily repaired by a luthier with minimal blemishes left to the body. The guitar is quite beautiful depite some signs of age. Stamped inside the body reads "7380H"
The matching vintage Gibson EH 150 (1937-38 - not certain on the exact year) amp sounds awesome and all tubes/wiring are in excellent working condition. Stamped on the amp are the specs : Model EH 150, Serial 13533, Volts 110- 120, Cycle 60, watts 135.
Please contact me by phone or email if you are seriously interested in the guitar and I will gladly meet with you or answer any questions. I am open to reasonable offers but please no low ball offers.
I am asking $3500 Canadian for them as a package.
