Hello from Sunny Florida

My name is Adam, I have been playing guitar for about 15 years. My first guitar was giving to me by my grandfather, who also taught me to play.

I never paid much attention to the make or model back then, but now it means more to me. I dont much about it, except he bought it in the early 60's and its Sekova copy of the Fender Jaguar, it guess its a jaguar copy, it looks most like a Jaguar. A single coil neck and single coil bridge pickup, two on/on selector switches to the left of a single tone and single volume pot. I will post pictures in the other forum. Everything on it is original, when I finally got it out of the closet about 2 weeks ago, the pickups no longer worked, but looks to be just a lose connection. I joined this community because the is little Sekova info out there and I am wanting to learn more about this guitar and more about what I got.

Welcome to the Forum Adam. Sekova was a brandname applied to Japanese guitars imported by U.S. Musical. I think most Sekovas were built by Kawai. I'll be interested to see what you have. sb
