Hello everyone. I've just joined up after starting a new and possibly silly hobby.
I don't play guitars, but have always liked the look of them (if that makes sense). I also enjoy buying and selling things so decided to embark on a journey of buying abused or dying vintage guitars, getting them fixed and selling them on.
This may sound totally insane, given that I don't know anything about them, but resources like this are good for getting information on what to buy and what not to buy and I am blessed to have a very old and good friend who is a luthier. He's great at letting me know how much these things will cost to fix so that I can decided whether to go for it or not.
Currently in the workshop are a Vox Phantom XII Stereo and a Hagstrom Futurama Bass. Hopefully, there are many more to come.
So, I imagine I'll be popping up quite frequently looking for information or sources of parts. In the meantime, anyone who has a 'project' to sell on or wants to buy one of my completed projects, let me know. Also, my luthier friend is a chap called Jim Fleeting. I'm sure he would be happy to carry out repairs for anyone who needs them:

I know it's very hard to get this across on a forum, but please trust me that I am a genuine enthusiast rather than a commercial trader. I love to rescue things that are on their last legs and bring them back to life. With a reliable source of repairs and a bit of luck, my aim is to get things fixed and break even - I already have a job
