Hi all, I've been to this forum before but since I just won this guitar on an eBay auction, I figured it's time to join. I have a particular interest in older Japanese guitars, both acoustic and electric. I've played a long time but I didn't know there were so many cool old guitars out there until earlier this year when I traded a $50 microphone for an old Aria acoustic, and to my amazement, it sounded and played great. Since then I've been learning what I can about different vintage guitars (not made by Gibby and Fender, etc).
So anyway this electric I'm getting was listed as a Silvertone, but someone took the headstock logo off. It looks to me like a Teisco and is similar to the Tulip body style but not quite. I'll post better pics when I get it, but here are the ones from the auction. I don't care a ton about the brand since I bought it for about what it costs my family of 3 to eat at Applebee's. If it's playable and fun, I can't go wrong.
Oh and what I want to buy at some point is a Silvertone 1448, or... whatever model the red one is.
