Hi, I got into restoring guitars and basses when a friend gave me an old Avon Rose Morris SG body 4 string bass. Since then I have renovated an Epiphone Les Paul '56 Gold Top ( currently being played by the guitarist in my band ) and also a Washburn WG580 ( totally replacing the nightmarish Floyd Rose bridge and most other parts ). I now have a Teisco Top Twenty, an Audition and an Avon Rose Morris guitar for renovation. I know these are cheap guitars but I have developed a soft spot for these rather under-rated guitars and basses........ I havent mentioned yet that I know very little about electric guitars and cant play one. I play bass.. So, I'm on here looking for help and advice and information coz I really am at the start of a steep learning curve..
