Got to play an Vintage by accident.. or summat

Hi All,
Back when I was a kid I swiped a borrowed bass from under my bro's bed and started to play. Later his mate wanted it back, so I scrapped £50 together, enough to buy my first bass.

This was the 70's and I got a short-scale Eros Fender copy. Well I messed about on it for a bit, but there was far less info available then, and I didn't really know much about it so I stagnated for a few years.

FFwd a bit and now I'm playing more than ever and I've also got an Ibanez EDB600 (I know, sacrilege to admit it I guess?)

But, I still have the old Eros, so I'm here to see if I can learn more about it.
