My name is Doug from the Western North Carolina mountains, currently working on a project in Cuba.
I'm a folkie at heart and my main interests are African-American folklore including Blues, and North American Roots Music in general. And I read musician & band biographies. I've done two minor field research projects on early Blues, collected bunches of 78 rpm records, and several old guitars. Two gems are a 1936 National Duolian and a 1963 Epiphone Casino.
I'm here to learn, and help others if I can.
