Hello for NE Ohio + Question(s)

New to the site. A guitar player since Junior High School (1977), stopped playing in July 1989 and started back up in May 2013.

So what is the definition of a Vintage Axe? Pre 19??
The reason I ask is I took a guitar into a Guitar Center to see what they would give me on trade and they said it was considered vintage. Well it was purchased for me in 1988 but I did not realize 1988 meant vintage. If that is the case, every guitar I own is vintage in the sense I have not bought one since 1988.

This is the guitar I was thinking of trading in. They said $150.00 since they have sold them for $300.00 in the past.

Some people consider vintage anything over 20 years old. The more conservative standard is 30 years.
