I have built 78 guitars in the last 10 years, all with bolt-on necks using reverse-engineering to ensure scale, mounting, etc. I want to build a glue-in neck Les Paul-type electric and cannot find a broken one to buy (cheaply!). Does anyone have any specifications for a Les Paul that I can copy?
I do not profit from my work. I have built 22 of these guitars for myself (narcissistic?) because I wanted specific guitars for specific types of music and given the rest to students (who showed promise) and nieces/nephews (I have 38 of these particular creatures to support) and have made just enough money to "support my habit". If anyone is worried about me making the next lawsuit, DO NOT WORRY!
I am an out-of-work automotive engineer and need a project for the next 13 weeks. I am bored with bolt-on necks! Thanks!
P.S. I do own an old (75?) Les Paul but I am not willing to dismantle it to reverse-engineer it!
