Hi.I am planning of installing a Bigsby tremelo upon my old Silvertone stratotone hollowbody. I was thinking of getting a Bigsby B3.Looking at a picture of my favorite guitarplayer Dan Auerbach playing a Harmony stratotone with tremelo I was wondering what model Bigsby he has on his stratotone.Or is this not a Bigsby tremelo. Here's a link to some pictures of the Aurbach with that stratotone and tremelo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dontlosetrack/2408216502/
Looks like a vintage Bigsby?Anybody know the exact model? Thanks for any input.

Thats definitely a Bigsby B3. After customizing several of these, I can tell you for certain that a B6 and a B7 WILL NOT WORK on these... they're way too long.

Big thumbs up on his rotary selector... but what a pain in the ass those things are... I just wired up a 5-way for my Speed Demon rebuild project.

Also...

geez......

He and I have almost exactly the same equipment list... a Silvertone 1454 and a Harmony 7-series (he's got the cherry 77, I've got the tobacco 76 w/ bigsby)... silverfaces... Rhodes... christ, aside from the Gibsons (which there's no way in holy hell I could afford), we play the same stuff.

CREEPY!

Thanks Michael.I PM-ed you yesterday about those Stratotones as well.I'm planning to use Kluson tuners on mine but I think there are different sizes? (Gibson,Fender) I'd prefer the Klusons to work "right out of the box" without having to make the holes in the headstock bigger. You did not read it I guess? About the Bigsby on Auerbach's stratotone.I can only find new B3's with a black logo.Have you seem em colored like this before?
BTW, I own a Harmony H-75 as well.My guitarteacher over here in The Netherlands has about 10 different Harmony guitars.Acoustics and electrics.
Yes,Auerbach has great taste in "cheap" vintage guitars.
Thanks for your reply.

After some searching I found out that it's not a B3 trem but a Bigsby B6CBVF Vibrato that came on some Gretsch models. Like this one:

Don't think I could afford this Bigsby
