Washburn G-5V usa or japan built?

I recently bought a 1987 washburn G-5V (yep pointy headstock), just wondering where it was made, I googled it, some people think they are usa made, other people think they're made in japan (I previously owned washburn 10yrs ago, that was korean), anyone help me on this one?

I won the guitar on ebay, I won't be able to inspect the pots til it arives on thursday, the original owner says it has usa stamped on the neckplate but my old korean one had that too, he says he can't find a "made in ???" stamp, maybe it was a sticker. It just cost me £89 ($140 aprox) so I am inclined to think it would be made in asia

after some more research I found out washburns (even though US company) were'nt produced in usa until 1991, japanese production was shifted to korea in the late 80's , so I guess now the question would be japanese or korean?

Why not go right to the source? The Washburn site has a forum and you can also contact their customer service and ask them.
