I posted this on another forum so if you read it already, I apologize
Hi-if you read my intro you already know I have a Wurlitzer Wildcat.
About the guitar:
It was made in the mid 60's
I learned to play with this guitar
It is black with Sunburst
It was a stereo guitar.
Is still in the original case
At 1st glance the finish is like new. But there are 3 chips in the paint on it that aggravate me when ever I see them. They aren't big and not cracks. Just 2 real small chips and one almost the size of a dime.
My questions:
The guitar came with a cord that plugged into the guitar at one end and split at the other end to be plugged into 2 seperate channels or 2 seperate amps. The plugs on the split end were standard 1/4" plugs. But the single end that went into the guitar was a bit smaller. (not as small as a computer plug) The cord disappeared years ago during a move. I could not find the proper cord so I had replaced the jack in the guitar to accept the normal size plug. I still have the original plug and would like to put it back and find a stereo cord that fits.
I would also like to date the guitar nusing the serial number.
And finally I would like to fix, cover or blob the chips with epoxy.
So can anyone point me in the right direction for these 3 concerns? Cord-date-chips.
Thanks
Merc
