I got this on ebay last week. It's a 1981. Nice playing and nice sounding guitar that was designed by John Page who later became co-founder of of the Fender Custom shop. Unique feature of this guitar is the one piece aluminum pickguard/bridge.

Hey Riotonsunset.

Definitely an unusual bridge/pickguard setup. Now that you have had it a week, is it more sensitive to temperature related tuning fluctuations than a separate bridge/pickguard design?

Thanks for the post. The bridge is very stable, you can break a string and the guitar will stay in tune.
