No, can you post pics, or serial number? A lot of off brand guitars are made by Samick or Cort., and it can be seen in the serial number.
Some of my guitars: 64 or so Domino Beatle bass; 73 Ibanez 2398; 79 Epiphone Genesis; 79 Manoman; 78 Gibson L6S; 95 Ibanez JS-700; 04 Samick Lasalle JZ3: 05 Ibanez AS73; 06 Gibson SG Faded, 07 Gary Kramer Simulator T and quite a few others.

BadPenguin is right dhand, it will be hard to tell you much without a picture since distributor brand names often tell us little about the actual builder. I think the Samick/Cort attribution is a good place to start. Neck thru guitars are generally expensive compared to bolt necks and it would be strange for an American or Japanese neck thru to wind up in a pawn shop. However, the Koreans built some neck thru guitars that were affordable and someone might pawn.

I don't know a lot about Samick but I do do know they made the Artist series that had several neck thru instruments in the line up. I don't know whether Samick or Cort built neck thru instruments in the Strat style but it sounds like something they might do.

Does anyone know of a Samick or Cort neck thru Strat :?

Both Samick and Cort did neck thru strats. Cort even had a BC Rich BICH copy, that was neck thru, with plywood wings! And an Explorer thingy with a Kahleresque trem system that wouldn't stay in tune.

Not a single fret buzzes or hangs when you bend a string. Its set up really low action too.

Very interesting guitar dhand

You didn't mention it was a sammy (i.e. sandwich body) guitar. I haven't done any research on the guitar yet but I do have a couple of initial thoughts. First, I would bet it is 1980's. It also doesn't look 1980's Korean to me but maybe BadPenguin recognizes it.

It reminds me of a 1980's Japanese Matsumoku build in terms of neck thru and finish (see early 80's Aria Pro II) but I'll need to investigate whether Matsumoku built any sammy guitars in this period. The pickups and surrounds look primitive for the 80's. The headstock shape is a total mystery, never seen anything like it before.

You have definately introduced a real brain teaser here, glad you had pictures.

To all Forum visitors, "Let the investigation and observations begin" :)

Gotta agree with Vint on this one. body looks like an Uncle Matt, with the same kind of single coil surrounds that they used on the Electra's. The neck heal sure looks like a Matt one used on the early 80's Electra Workingmans. Bridge however looks either Ibanez, or Daion. I am stumped.
