Now that my jazzmaster age has been deciphered, can anyone help me determine the year of a competition mustang? I'm almost certain that it is a 69 , because the neck is stamped 16FEB69B. BUT... The matching red headstock does not say "offset contour body". Could it be a 68 neck with a 69 assembly date? the rosewood obviously curves at the fingerboard surface but, it also curves with the shape of the maple.(where the date is stamped) Is this common on a 69 model/ Any info will help thanks. Note.. the fender logo has the circled R after the last r of Fender
