I just bought this 'lost' VOX collection from a private party.

I DO plan on selling a number of the pieces - at the very least I will sell the duplicates of what I already own.

Here's a pic of the Delta. Aside from the (expected) pickguard chips, she's in excellent condition.

Looks like an excellent purchase Roger. You've got the sweetest collection of Vox insturments on the planet as far as I know.

What is it about this collection that was "lost". Tell us a liitle about how you tracked it down.

Here's the story - I helped out a very nice lady on eBay last month with a Vox guitar listing and told her more in one e-mail than she worked to find out on her own in the past six months. So she then asks me if I mind helping her out with a few more Vox guitar listings - like 10 of them! Her husband was a collector and part time musician who suffered a terrible stroke two years ago and she is thinning out their possessions. These 10 are the ones he is willing to let go now ~ there are at least a dozen more he is not ready to part with yet. I was offered the opportunity to purchase them all in a lot. I'll probably keep a number of models that I don't already have and sell the rest. Not really a 'lost' collection, but an 'under the radar' find from a person who (to the best of my knowledge) was not publicly part of our discussion boards community.

It is inevitable that all possessions change hands. Hopefully you'll get the right of first refusal when the balance of the collection becomes available. Start saving your money for that day.
