Guitar Cheri and Chevy??

I opened a Chevy/Chery/Cheri Group at Facebook http://www.facebook.com/groups/291296664223004/
with some additional modells such as a Chevy SM (one of two Superstrats by Chevy)
... recently I found out some interesting detail about the relation between Fenix and Chevy. It seems to be proved both came from the same factory in Korea. (EDIT: in contrast to all similiarities that can be found this doesn't seem to be true ... see comments following)

BTW: this thread belongs to the Asian section rather than to the European, although GEWA, a German distributor, signed responsible for trading in Europe. The source of Chevy/Chery/Cheri instruments seemed to have been CORT, they share the same founders Westenheimer (an American pioneer of Asian musical instruments import) and Park. And evidently the late Cheri guitars fall back to Cort designs in last period ...
