I've this guitar almost a decade but never found out something about it or it's brand.
I'ts a bad quality multiplex guitar (like the early Egmonds) but with a set neck. The hardware (floating pu plate)seems to me from Schaller,Germany(typically Schaller trazezium-like glitter pu's covering).I think this must be a 50's guitar 'course the pu's are connected to the amp with a fixed cable and the pu-plate has completely enclosed pots.Another thing is the stoptail:same as a PanAramic(right under, not in my collection). And to make it even more stranger:Polish(Defil or Muza) tuners.Sometimes one can find them with the same tuners Framus used, even with Egmond-like tuners...complete mystery.
This brand is often found (for acoustic guitars as on this digpic) in the Netherlands and Belgium, sometimes in Germany, but no ones seems to know where this guitars were made...and I'm very anxiuos to find out ! I've seen other Symphonie electric guitars with always same hardware.
Someone told me that it's possible that this is(was!)an East-German brand...but never proven !
Special feature is that the heads are always very narrow.
So : any info about Symphonie(and also electric guitars) very wellcome !!!!
thanks !
