Have anyone seen this model or know its manufacturers brand?

Hello everybody, I have received this guitar yesterday and I could identify its brand or any identification on it. It only states Made In Japan on its neck plate. So I can figure what model is it and whats it worth. I hope my fellow forumers could help me to find out the model of it. If possible also tell me about the specs of this guitar.

ps: The guitar is in the cleaning process so that's why the fretboard is being covered by tape.

Hi Rizki.

From what I see your guitar appears to have been built by Kawai sometime around 1968-69. It has a mahogany neck with a truss rod and most likely a plywood body. You can check the body for lamination if you ever remove the pickguard. The pickups are single coil and controlled by the four switches which are either on or off so you can dial up different pickup combinations. It looks like you are missing the cover on the tremolo which is not uncommon since the cover had to be removed to change strings and was frequently lost.

It will be hard to ever figure out the model since Kawai made a tremendous number of guitar variations in the late 1960's. What its worth probably depends on where you live. In the US it would probably be valued between $200-$250 USD since it is a 4 pickup model.
