Dear friends:

In this forum, specifically this thread

http://vintaxe.com/boards/viewtopic.php ... 6a5201d684

were consulted on a guitar to match my home cuyto is also quite dark.

As I say, is the twin guitar and has a label inside that says:

EPI IS A DIVISION OF EPIPHONE.

MODEL ES-175

SERIAL # 0106001

NASHVILLE-TENESSE

I have only seen a guitar like that in Spain, with an almost serial correlative to me, had a G in front.

May I take it that these guitars are all made in Japan in 60-70 years?

Someone can give me some additional information to clarify the origin of my guitar and your date of birth.

The guitar dater projetc allocated Korea and 1990 which is impossible because I have a guitar before that date.

Thanks and greetings from Spain.

Hi miomi69.

I have not discovered anything specific about your ES - 175 but based on the label information you have supplied, your guitar was not built in the 1960's.

Gibson moved guitar production to Nashville Tennessee in 1974 so this would be the earliest possible date your guitar was produced.

I am currently looking into the possibility that your guitar was produced around 1986. This is the year Henry Juszkiewicz, David Berryman and Gary Zebrowski acquire Epiphone and Gibson. Under their leadership, the Epi line was expanded to include traditional models like the Sheraton, Emperor and Howard Roberts, along with Epi versions of Gibson classics like the Les Paul, Flying V and Explorer. At this point, I'm not sure whether any Epi archtop models were introduced as part of this expanded product line.

So, I am still trying to discover information about your guitar.

I have no words to thank you for your interest. It took a long time looking for data but the most important part of this guitar is its sound, I like to know its history. Wholeheartedly thank you very much.

Dear Friend:

As you can see from the link I write, my continuing passion for vintage guitars and uncertain origin and dating.
Sera for my age, but I wake up much more interest than any new guitar.
I submit two recent acquisitions, Samick, and CONRAD, of which I do not know year of manufacture, or none n data and added that lack of tags or hints that can provide information.
I do not intend bothered simply share with you a passion for vintage guitars. A greeting from Spain

Hello miomi69.

I do not know anything about your Samick, hopefully another visitor will be able to tell you something about the guitar.

Your Conrad was built by Matsumoku around 1967. The Conrad version is very similar to an Aria Diamond 1202.

I have a couple of these pictured in the Guitar Gallery:

There is also a recent thread discussing the 12 string version of this instrument here:

I'm sure if Matsumoku didn't make your guitar, these Ventura guys did (or maybe these guys WERE Matsu. at some point, who knows) '
Cool guitar, in any case.

I'm happy with my guitar, the sound is wonderful and extraordinary. I thank cordially to receive any information about it. Every time I am more sure of its Japanese origin and belongs to that moment confusing that copies of Gibson guitars are made in Japan with a similar quality to the originals.
Thank you very much for your information, they also serve to communicate.
Greetings from Spain.
