Matsumoku "Jazzmaster" Vibratos?

In the Ventura V-1006 thread there's this picture of a vibrato tailpiece on a Matsumoku guitar:

This looks like it's based on the Jazzmaster vibrato. I've also seem them on other Matsumokus like the Univox Hi-Flier, UC-2 and similar Arias. I've been attracted to these guitars partly because I'm a fan of the vibrato on Jazzmasters -- much more so than Strats. They seem more Bigsby-like to me (which is a good thing, IMO). So my question is, who has played these guitars who can give insight on the similarity in action/sound between their vibratos and Jazzmasters?
