Japanese Vox Starstream Copy

Does anyone have any info about this Vox "Starstream" copy guitar (in the middle of my two Vox Phantoms). I bought it about 25 years ago for $20. I assume that it's Japanese and from the '60s but that's all I know. I couldn't find any more information on it.

You have a Japanese built Kawai MS-170 produced around 1968. I sold one in a natural finish a few years back, you can see a photo of mine here:

VintAxe - thanks for the info! That's been a mystery to me for a long time. The price was low because I bought it at a Goodwill store. The setup is terrible, but it makes noise and best of all, it looks really cool!

Are these guitars easy to find parts for? I'm looking to sell it but I'd like to get it in at least decent working condition first. Right now it doesn't make any noise at all so I don't know what's going on with it. The spring or whatever it is that makes the vibrato work is also broken or missing so it does need some work. What do you think it might be worth just as it is?
