Hi folks....need wiring help...effector

Hi folks...would someone who has an old Kay, Sears, or Univox effects guitar have a peek inside the controls cavity and tell me where the battery (+) and (-) connects to. In addition, I have only one red wire connected to the speed pot and nothing on it's wiper tab....am I missing something else that should be there...and where does that go if I am? Someone has been inside this one messin around a bit. The battery wires were corroded and just laying in the cavity...apparently just wrapped around something at some point and fell free.

I used to have one of these long years ago and just recently found this one....and it's definately not working as is. No hurry, I'll spend some time cleaning it up. I appreciate it.
