I have a few thoughts about the origin of it based on what I have learned about another guitar I own that has similar color, hardware, electronics etc.
I'm guessing this one was made late 60's early 70's somewhere in Japan by one of the factories that made the Teisco, Silvertone, Guyatone....etc.
It looks to be a copy of an SG jr. body but has a "Tele" type headstock..
Single "Gold Foil Ry Cooder" style pickup 19 Fret and a "Thin-line" style on the body.
So any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know why I tend to buy these "Cheap" japanese guitars from that era but there is just something about them that reminds me of my days at my grandparents watching my grandfather play his Teisco EPT-8 which I now own since he passed away a few years ago. I also have his other "Strat" copy from Japan that has the same sunburst finish as this one and the same gold foil pickups
I love cleaning these things up and making them playable again even though I am more of a fixer than a player... [img
