Unfortunately my Teisco is not all that original anymore, even hough it's a much better guitar now!

It's never been my intent pass off this guitar as a Fender - I would have put the correct Strat transfer on if I was going to try - and it would never pass as a 'real' Fender anyway

I was going to use the neck on a custom Tele style project using Fender parts, which never happened. I have never been much of a Strat fan to be honest - I think they sound good but I have never really clicked with the body shape or look of them...

apparently Matsumoku's "budget" grade guitars, not for export. The first row of "Strat" shaped guitars on pg. 2, they look like the ones posted above,the small logo on the big headstock, and the truss rod hole at the bottom of the neck. Could they be related?

I picked up one of these in a pawnshop in Texarkana TX about June or July of 2009. I plan on pulling the pick guard and sticking it back for my son to wonder about in the future. I'll cut another guard just like it and install new electrics. My problem is that 4 screw trem. Mine has bent saddles and I cant seem to find any narrow enough to replace them with, any ideas out there? This trim seams to be 1/2 " narrower then MIM and MIA trims I have. String spacing is 10.5 I think. Neck fits me great and wood tone sounds like it is just waiting for the right pups.
