Encore FatStrat

Hello everybody! I have a Encore FatStrat guitar. It doesn't have a serial. I don't know if it's a Japanese or a Korean guitar. Do you? What more can you tell me about it?

Hi - as far as I know, the Encore brand's been around since the mid 80s. It's predominantly a budget brand, which suggests it's unlikely that they would source instruments from Japan, since by the early 80s the more "modest" imported instruments were coming out of Korea. This doesn't say anything negative about the quality - some excellent stuff was coming from Korea by the mid 80s.

Your guitar looks either quite new, or very well looked-after. If it's new (or new-ish), it's quite likely it's Chinese or Indonesian, since that's where budget brands like Encore are likely to be sourcing most of their current ranges.

It's quite interesting to see a Fender-type headstock shape, this might suggest it's an earlier guitar, but to be honest I don't know a great deal about the brand - so I'm only speculating here.
