1966 Howard, another mystery MIJ guitar

Can't find any info on this guitar. It very well made, straight fast neck, 4ply binding on pick guard and truss rod cover. I won't go on-and-on, it's a real nice piece, a cut above the average mid-sixties MIJ axes.
I would appreciate any info/value on this guitar.

that guitar shouts matsumoku to me, the bridge/trem ,knobs, all, it has that matsumoku fibe, and like you said it's above the average, that's matsumoku.
how does the neckplate look like, matsumoku neckplates are always easy to identify.

You are correct, I found out it is a Matsumoku made guitar.
The neck plate reads: Steel Reinforced Neck Made in Japan.
