Hello, here's my latest bit of Junk! :-)

Image

Sold to me as a MIJ Teisco made body.
I have since found out that these are quite common and can be found under many brand names, ie Audition, Heit Deluxe, Decca. I in fact bought an Audition version soon after acquiring this with view to swapping the neck over!

But.... they're slightly different.
The guitars are essentially identical except the neck pocket on the Audition is quite long at 85mm and the MIJ unknown is much smaller at 55mm.

I've been through the catalogues and have narrowed the MIJ version down to 1968 Heit Deluxe 2.

I've just been chatting to someone that has a replacement neck for sale, unfortunately though the longer type. He seems to think the 55mm version is quite a rarity and thinks that the production of Teisco sub brands were made in Korea and not at Kawai.

Can anyone clear this up for me please?

Cheers

Either Teisco or Kawai... DEFINITELY sold as a Heit Deluxe. I had TWO (one and two-pickup models).
