I'm hoping someone knows where I can find a(n easy to understand for an idiot) wiring diagram. Nothing on Teisco Twangers. I don't know much about electrical but I can usually figure stuff out by comparing, so pictures would be great, but diagram is fine.
BTW, this is the series with the shiny chrome plates north and south of the black square pickguard which holds 2, 3 or 4 pickups. Nicknamed "Hounddog Taylor" because he had a 4-pickup model on one of his albums.
Mine has 3 pickups. The top plate has a single bank of two creme colored rocker switches. The bottom plate has two potentiometers. Probably 1 volume and 1 tone if I had to guess.
All the wiring between the rocker switches and the pickups is fine, which is good because that's complicated for me!
However, the actual wiring between the two vol/tone pots is not connected.
A walkthrough: The pickups all connect to the rocker switches which looks like a giant dpdt switch underneath. Then there are two wires -- one coming from either end of the rocker switch bank -- that connect to the pots.
I'm used to wiring pickups to pots. Not this weird switching bank with only two wires.
Does anybody have any pictures of their S-160, -170 or -180? I'm guessing it'll be wired up the same for the pots.
I'll try to take some pictures myself if nobody has any ideas. Perhaps someone can eyeball it.
Thanks for any help or suggestions at all!
