Hey jesmiley, sounds like you have found the Harmony Central review for a Lark Strat:



I doubt anyone will be able to tell you much about your strat without seeing a picture. Since Lark is just a brand name applied by a distributor, it doesn't tell us much about who may have actually built the guitar. I think adding some pictures will raise the probability of getting some information about your strat.

Hi - the Lark-branded guitar you have is a copy of a Gibson Les Paul, not a Strat. The differences are quite subtle but apparent to the experienced eye.







Anyway, it's mid-70s, and made in Korea by Samick. It has a bolt-on neck and a plywood with hollow-top body construction. These appear quite frequently branded as Hondo II. There might be a circular factory inspection sticker on the back of the headstock and a gold model number sticker probably on the neckplate.
