Noob with a not so new question!

Hello All,

Just Joined, and looking for ID on a guitarI've had since I was little (as are alot of people it seems) that I was told, my uncle purchased new in the 60's (he passed away many years ago), along witth the Recco amp that came with it. I have been told that its a Teisco, but thats about it. I have never seen another one exactly like it, and I have been looking for a few years. I would surely appreciate some info if anyone can help! The Amp is a Recco Model 303 if that helps narrow things down some. I am attaching pcs/links to pics. Thanks in advance

Hey Brandon,

I think your guitar is a Teisco/Kawai built between 1969-1974. We've discussed these guitars before here:

The guitar itself is not particularly valuable, but I've seen people pay $75 for the gold foil pickup alone.

Thanks for the info! Ive done a ton of Teisco searches on the net, and have yet to find this exact guitar. The floral pickguard is pretty indicative it seems, so thats a good thing to know as well. I dont have a ton of cash to put into guitars at this point, so its good to know there is a small niche of collectors for these old "junk" guitars! I love the site by the way!
