Can anyone help me identify this teardrop shaped axe? Is it european?
It has a cheesy metal flake dolphin sticker where the logo used to be on the headstock. I'm new to the forum and haven't figured out how to post a pic so this is the link address.
Thanks,
wietse is right so I have moved your post to the Japanese section.
Your guitar is a Kawai PM-2V built in Japan in 1968. Here's a snapshot out of a Kawai catalog from 1968 that lists your guitar as well as other teardrop models available. Yours is on the lower right. Notice that your guitar has the block inlays like the MS-170 rather than dots. Typical Kawai mix and match.
You guys are the bomb. Does anyone have a good pic of what the headstock decal looks like, or was it a metal logo? The shadow of the one that was on mine was an oval shape.
