Interesting (to me, anyway) Stella MIJ on eBay. Opinions?

I love single pickup MIJ models, and this one looks interesting. It looks early to my amateur eyes but those side block fret markers are mid-60's, correct?. Can anyone offer any info on this (Stella?) model?

Hi Bob.

On Japanese guitars, I think those side bar inlays are always associated with Teisco. I know they were used by Teisco from 1963-66. They could have been used even earlier, I just don't have any documented earlier examples. Based on the knobs and the generally primitive build characteristics of this model, I think it is early 1960's.

Most intersestiing guitar. I can't find any definate info as to who may have actually made the guitar. Check out this three pickup Stella model. Very cool! This one is said to have been made in the 1950's. I also came across an older eBay auction for this same model in which the seller says that he was told they were made by Teisco, but I can't find any varification that this is fact.

As for the side imarkers, the Teisco Twangers site shows these two models, described as late 1950's, having the side markers on the fret board, so the guitar in question,if made by Teisco, could be possibly be late 50's.
