Has anyone ever seen a RCA Victor Guitar?

Hi everyone, I picked this guitar up a little while ago and thought some of you might enjoy what I found.


Does anyone here know if these were sold in the US, or strictly in Japan?

I believe one of these is pictured in the Rittor "Bizarre Guitars" book. I don't have the book handy right now, but someone can look it up.

Yep, since I posted this I picked up a copy of Bizarre Guitars and a copy of Guitar Graphic Vol 1 and this guitar is pictured in both books. Thanks Big Beat!!!!!! Now I only need to get the articles translated. I wonder if we could all work on translating a section of Bizarre Guitars, then we could have a really good resource!

What language is the book written in?

Both books are written in Japanese...

These were Matsumoku made, but the electronics were RCA Victor designed/made. I've never seen anything like the pickups, and these guitars were only made for a year or two.
