Hey there! I registered here basically to just post and ask about this guitar I bought a little while back. I found it at a local guitar show, and I had hoped to find something like it - I was almost done looking, then BAM! I spotted this one for 100 bucks. I played it, loved it and bought it. A bit out of the norm looking, and (it appears) 40+ years old to boot. Only downside is that it was missing the trem bar, otherwise it's in great condition.
Anywho, enough of my ranting. Ironically, I'm posting here because I was thinking about selling this guitar and was just curious about how much one of these would go for. It's quite pretty, but 1.) I never play it and 2.) I don't see myself recording with it, because it's not too unique or powerful sounding in the pickup department.
So far from what I've gathered, it's got the look of a Heit Deluxe(?), but it does not have any "Teisco", "Heit", or other markings. It DOES, however, have an "Audition" mark on the headstock. Haven't found anything about that name anywhere - don't even know whether it's supposed to be a brand or a make. And finally, as far as value, judging by my gut feeling, $70-100 (US) seems like it'd be about right, but I see other somewhat similar models going for $2-300 on ebay. I'm sure as heck not looking to sell this thing for a ton (IF I even sell it), just curious about the guitar.
In any case, I appreciate any help I can get with identifying/valuing this thing! Thanks a lot.
