I just stumbeled on this NoName LesPaulish copy ( TV-style ? ) with only the selector switch and output plug that mentioned MIJ .
Nothing to be found on the pu's and on the pot's , even so on the neckplate .Nothing on the (Teisco-like-)bridge and stoptail. What makes it rather special are the pu's support plates : chromed and three point fixed ,one slanted and one straight,, while the pu itself looks like a Strat , without pole pieces(Mustang like) .Unfortunatly the trussrod cover is missing but the remained dirt/dust indicates an Arai/Aria one...The open book headstock makes it pré lawsuit era.
The most distinctive indication is the electrics cover at the backside , as a would be Tele ...what do you want more...
The woods are rather heavy , not massive : one tiny slice with two big chunks glued to it and lookes like mahogany.
Wonder which company did dare to put such an instrument on the market ??
