Garage sale Japan Hollow Body

I just purchased this guitar at a garage sale for $10. The only marking on the guitar is "Japan" stamped on the bottom of the tail piece. Anybody have a clue on who/when this guitar was made? I plugged it in and it does work, haven't had time to play much, and only has 4 strings currently, so can't pass judgement on how it sounds yet. What you see towards the bottom of the guitar are 4 rocker switches. The only knob is volume. Thanks!
