Help Identify : Wich Teisco type? Value?

Hi,

I'm from Belgium and came across this Teisco guitar on a belgian second hand website.
The seller guesses it's 60's.
Can anyone confirm this and maybe let me know wich type it is?
And he's selling it for 100€ (that's about 136$).
Is this worth it?

I would be very grateful if somebody could clear this up for me.

I'm not an expert and this could be a super-rare model... But in general for a Tiesco with a neck pickup only, and a missing string-press, not sure I'd pay 100EU.

Didn't notice, but if it has a truss rod (that still works) and the electronics seem to work okay, make an offer. Maybe 75EU...

I'm not sure of the exact model but it looks like a typical low end tesico from the 60's.

Its difficult to tell from the pictures but it looks pretty dented and beat and is missing parts.

In the USA that guitar might get $50-$150 depending on how playable it is, in absolutely perfect condition with no scratches and no missing parts maybe $199. Personally I would look for something in better shape unless you just want a project or are looking for a very inexpensive guitar. If it has any playability or warped neck issues that can't be fixed with the truss rod then it is basically worthless.

Hi Roel.

The body shape on your guitar is from the mid 1960's. The model names were simple back then. This body style was known as the MJ. The number of pickups were also included in the description so this guitar would be an MJ-1. I agree with other members on price. This example is in pretty rough shape, the seller should be happy with $100 USD assuming a decent neck and intonation.
