Hi,
I have little info on this guitar. Plate on back does say Japan, and there is a small sticker on the head also that says made in Japan. I am thinking maybe Teisco? I took the old strings off for a good cleaning, but everything sounded great before. The action was a bit high on the lower fretts, but I placed shim so that should help. Any thoughts on make and value would be appreciated.

Hey PSJ,

Based on the pickguard, tailpiece, headstock shape, etc, I would say the guitar came out of the Kawai factory. Here is a guitar very similar to yours that is branded Suzuki.

While not an exact match, I think based on the pickguard match we can be confident that your guitar is from 1965. sb
